Gerald R. Rice, 83, Gosser Ridge

Gerald R. Rice, age 83 of the Gosser Ridge Community of Russell County was born on March 13, 1941 in Warrenville, Illinois and passed away on September 12, 2024 at his residence.

He was of the Episcopal faith and a real estate appraiser.  He was the son of the late Ralph and Violet Bush Rice.

He is survived by: his wife, Rose Schlick Newman, of Russell Springs, KY; four daughters, Heidi (Paul) Rice, Russell Springs, Kentucky, Kim O’Brian, Upstate, New York,  Sharon Simano, Jefferson City, Tennessee and Karen Berger, Land O’ Lakes, Florida. Grandchildren, Patrick and Kevin O’ Brian, Heather Miller, Jason Simano, Jessica Berger, Deryk Berger, Georgia, Paige and Ryan Hebert.

Mr. Rice is also survived by: four sisters, Sharon Worrell, Arkansas, Carol Mika, Texas, Mary Rice and Debbie Rice both of Illinois; two brothers: Danny Rice of New Mexico and Dennis Rice of Alabama.

There are no services planned. Wilson Funeral Home in Russell Springs in charge of arrangements.
