Ronnie Lee Lawter, 58, Russell Springs

Ronnie Lee Lawter, 58, of Russell Springs, KY, passed away on Friday, November 8, 2024 at his residence.

 Ronnie was born on May 18, 1966 in Hammond, IN to the late Charles Lawter Sr. and Helen Deann Troutner Lawter.  He attended Cross Creek Church in Russell Springs, KY.  Ronnie worked as a Meat Processor for many years at Central KY Custom Meats before retiring in 2019.  He was an avid NFL follower, coin collector, loved watching wrestling and listening to music by Queen.

 He is survived by his loving wife, Denise Meece Lawter, whom he married on September 21, 1986 in Cincinnati, OH; one son, Ronnie Lee (Rachel) Lawter, Jr. of Jamestown, KY; one daughter, Mackenzie Elizabeth Lawter (Trevor Strunk) of Nancy, KY; our special “PA”, Phillip Wade of Russell Springs, KY; one brother, Charles “Bubba” (Tarina) Lawter, Jr. of Russell Springs, KY; two sisters, Tammy (Raymond) McElfresh of Russell Springs, KY and Sharon (Brian) Dupee of Liberty, KY; three grandchildren, Ellora Bea Lawter, Ezra James Strunk and Shepherd Wade Lawter; and a host of nieces and nephews, great-nieces and nephews, and other family members are saddened by his passing. 

 Along with his parents he was preceded in death by his father and mother-in-law, Vester “V.L.” and Marie Meece.

Visitation will be on Monday, November 11, 2024 from 11:00am EST until 1:00pm EST at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

 His funeral service will follow on Monday at 1:00pm EST at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Tony Stephens officiating.  Burial will be at Chesterview Cemetery in Nancy, KY.

 The family requests expressions of sympathy be made to Chesterview Cemetery Fund or Hospice of Lake Cumberland in memory of Ronnie Lawter.
