Rodney Lee Withers, 59, Russell Springs

Rodney Lee Withers, of Russell Springs, passed away on Monday, August 18, 2025, at University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington. He was 59 years of age.

Born on September 8, 1965, in Hamilton, Ohio, he was a son of the late Garnett and Lillie Wilson Withers.  Rodney was a former employee of Stephens Pipe and Steel.  He was known for his love of golf and spending time on the lake, fishing.

Survivors include a son, Corey Withers, of Lexington; a daughter, Ava Giles, of Russell Springs; and his brothers, Jim Withers, of Russell Springs, and Manis Withers, of Yosemite.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his mother, Norma Withers; and a brother, Dale Withers.

Cremation rites were honored, according to Rodney’s wishes.

A memorial service will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Saturday, August 23, 2025, at Bernard Funeral home.

The family will receive friends from 3:00 P.M. until the time of the memorial service.
