Jordan Turner
Staff Report
Jordan Turner has anchored at Russell County High School as the new leader of the Lakers.
Russell County School Superintendent Michael A. Ford announced last week Turner has been selected as the new principal at the school.
Currently Principal of Green County High School and the Green County Area Technology Center, Turner “will bring a wealth of experience in school leadership, student achievement, career and technical education, staff supervision, budgeting, and daily school operations,” Ford.
“In his application materials, he also noted that Russell County is home-making this opportunity especially meaningful to him,” the superintendent noted.
I would like to thank the Russell County High School (RCHS) Site-Based Decision Making Council for their dedication and hard work throughout this process and their commitment to a thorough and thoughtful selection process,” Ford said. “As we move forward, I am confident Mr. Turner will work to support our students, staff, and families while continuing the strong traditions of Russell County High School.”
Turner will take over for RCHS Principal Shanna Tarter, who is set to retire after establishing a strong legacy of leadership at the school.
