Doris Jean Wilson, 80, Russell Springs

Doris Jean Wilson, formerly of Louisville, passed away Friday, July 3, 2026, at her residence in Russell Springs.  She was 80 years of age.

Born July 7, 1945, in Jefferson County, she was a daughter of the late Joseph “Buddy” and Elsie Mattingly Clemens.  After moving to Russell County, Doris lived out her remaining years in her new home, spending time with her beloved daughter and her dogs.

Survivors include her daughter, Carol Swartz, of Russell Springs; a brother, Tommy Clemens of Louisville; and two sisters, Linda Alvey, of LaGrange, and Janie (and Scott) LeCompte, of Frankfort.

Cremation rites were honored according to Doris’s wishes.  No services are planned.  Inurnment will be in Resthaven Cemetery in Louisville.
