Meyer joins JPD

A well-known, local law enforcement officer is now a part of the Jamestown Police Department.
Corey Meyer was sworn into duty last Wednesday, July 1 by Jamestown Mayor Regena Hinton.
Meyer, a 2000 Kentucky Department of Criminal Justice, formerly served as a local deputy, and was a popular candidate for sheriff in the recent primary election.
Just hours after being sworn in, Officer Meyer was on patrol during the active, annual Lakefest celebration.
“Glad to be here,” Meyer said.
Officer Meyer said he looks forward to protecting and serving the City of Jamestown and its citizens.
