Patricia Gail Routt McAninch, 86, Nicholasville
Patricia Gail Routt McAninch, of Nicholasville, formerly of Jamestown, passed away Friday, July 10, 2026. She was 86.
Born on December 18,1939 in Sonora, Kentucky, she was a daughter of the late Dr. Ruel T. Routt and Madeline Bright Routt. Patricia attended Georgetown College. She was a foster parent to many children and loved all animals. She was the former owner and operator of Kiddie Kapital Daycare in Frankfort. In the1960’s, she helped and assisted the State of Kentucky writing regulations and statues regarding daycares.
She is survived by her son, Clete (and Heather) McAninch of Russell Springs; three daughters, Kelly Moser and Loryn McAninch both of Nicholasville and Marty (and Marty) Walker of Lexington; five grandchildren, Kristen O’Connor, Chase Moser, Wesley Walker, Raylan McAninch and Lakeli Underwood; and special family members, Brenda Carmicle and Debbie McAninch of Liberty.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband, Eucletus Raye McAninch and one brother, Mike.
The funeral service will be held Friday, July 17, 2026, at 2:00 P.M. EST at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home with Pastor Mark Horton officiating. Burial will follow in Middleburg Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. EST on Friday, July 17, 2026, at McKinney-Brown Funeral Home.
