Loretta Wells, 79, Jamestown

Loretta Wells, 79, of Jamestown, passed away Wednesday, November 16th, at Russell County Hospital, Russell Springs, KY.

Loretta was born in Jamestown, KY on December 4, 1942, a daughter of the late Nora (Knight) and Harvey Lawless.

She worked at Brockway Glass for 15 years and retired from RCA records.

Loretta loved bowling in her younger days and won many trophies, she enjoyed playing cards and games doing crossword puzzles and she had a very competitive spirit, she also loved to go fishing and working in her garden. She was an excellent cook and was known for her fried apple pies and brownies.

Loretta is survived by
a daughter, Patty Carter (Ted Rodman), of Fishers, IN;
a son,Terry (Cathy) Wells, of Atlanta, IN.

She is also survived by 2 grandchildren Shea (Shireena) Wells, and Shelbi Evans, 3 great grandchildren Laraea, Daya, and Lilly.

She is preceded in death by her parents, husband Leonard Wells, 4 brothers Joseph, Paul, Jack, and Herbert Lawless, 5 sisters Hattie Snow, Rebecca Guffey, Sally Guffey, Mary Francis Lawless and Ruth Ann Lawless.

Funeral Service will be held 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 26th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Mike Bunch and Bro. Jesse Jewell officiating.

Friends may visit 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday, November 26th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.

Interment at Jamestown Cemetery Jamestown, KY.
