Edward A. Skates, 78, Florida

Edward A Skates, Jr, 78, Fort Walton Beach, FL, passed away Saturday, September 21st, at Emerald Coast, Ft. Walton Beach.

Edward was born in Chattanooga, TN on July 29, 1946, a son of the late Pearl (Lewis) and Edward A Skates, Sr.  He served in the U.S. Army in the Vietnam War and had a lawn care business.

Edward is  survived by: a daughter, Michelle Roy (Stevie), of Jamestown, KY and a brother, Jim Skates (Elaine), of FL.  He is also survived by three grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and one on the way.

He is preceded in death by his parents, a sister Bertha Faye Dykes, and two brothers David and Richard Skates.

Funeral Service will be held 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 29th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Stevie Roy officiating.  Friends may visit 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM on Sunday, September 29th at H. E. Pruitt Memory Chapel in Jamestown, KY.

Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery. Jamestown, KY, with full military honors by the Russell County Honor Guard.
