Rosemary Turner, 94, formerly of Russell Springs

Rosemary Turner, of Georgetown, formerly of Russell Springs, passed from this life on Saturday, October 5, 2024, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center in Lexington.  She was 94 years of age.

Ms. Rosemary was born in Farmer City, Illinois, on Sunday, June 22, 1930, daughter of the late Sam and Kate Antle Browning.  She was a long-time member of Russell Springs First Baptist Church.  Ms. Rosemary loved to paint and sew and enjoyed gardening and working with her flowers.

She is survived by her daughter, Linda (and Jeff) Story, of Georgetown; her daughter-in-law, Dena Holt, of Jamestown; her granddaughter, Laura (and Michael) Sedler, of Powell, Ohio; and her great-grandchildren, Jenson Sedler and Liam Sedler.

Along with her parents, Ms. Rosemary is preceded in death by Earl Holt, her first husband and father of her children; her second husband, Leon Turner; her son, Timothy Holt; her brother, Billy Browning; and her sisters, Lois Salmon, Susan Cruse and Louise Cruse.

Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. CST, Friday, October 11, 2024, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Jeff Griffin and Jeff Hubbard officiating.  Burial will follow in Russell Springs City Cemetery.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 10, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. CST, at Bernard Funeral Home, and will resume after 8:00 a.m. CST, Friday, until time of funeral services.

In lieu of flowers, expressions of sympathy may take the form of donations to Rosemary’s Memorial Garden, which will enhance the courtyard at The Meadows at Windsor Garden, where Rosemary lived for the past three years.  Donations may be mailed to 103 Doe Court, Georgetown, KY 40324 or may be given at the funeral home.
