Lady Lakers excel in winter break tourneys
The Russell County Lady Lakers earned the runner-up trophy in the recent Berea Holiday Classic.

The Lady Lakers were in action over the winter break in two tournaments.
They came home runners-up in both.
First, they played in the Smokey Mountain Christmas Classic in Gatlinburg, TN.
The team played tough games against Grundy County, TN and Perry County Central and only fell short to North Laurel in the Championship game.
They also played in the Berea Holiday Classic-solidly beating PRP (Pleasure Ridge Park), Montgomery County, and Valley.
The Lady Lakers were only stopped by Covington Holy Cross in the Championship game.

Players of the Game were Natalie Bartrug over PRP, Karley Luttrell over Montgomery County, and Addison Hart over Valley.
