Her voice has graced many churches, gatherings and stages throughout the area, and soon Tonya Gosser will be singing praise-literally and figuratively-in Nashville.

One of Russell County’s finest and favorite voices will be part of the 43rd Annual Sunday Mornin’ Country show.

“I’ll be singing in a gospel show at the Grand Ole Opry House with Ray Stephens, Brenda Lee and several other stars from the past on June 8th,” Gosser said.

The journey to the famed stage is a momentous occasion for the Russell Springs woman.

“I was blessed to join Music City Christian Fellowship 10 years ago and have sung in the Choral each year,” she said. “This year I have been asked to join Leon Everette and Debbie Bennett to sing a tribute to the late great Lynn Anderson. What an honor!”

“I truly feel Blessed to have this opportunity and look forward to stepping in that circle where so many amazing musicians have stood,” Gosser said. “I thank God for an opportunity to bring church to the Opry House!”

Gosser said she hopes friends can join her for the event.

“Nashville is only a couple of hours away,” she said. “It starts at 3:30 (warm-ups) in the afternoon so some people might wanna come.”

Gosser has discount tickets for $35 and can be reached at (270) 866-1590.
