James W. Sharp, 91, Russell Springs
James W. Sharp, 91, of Russell Springs, passed away Sunday, July 6th, at T.J. Samson Community Hospital, Glasgow, KY.
James was born in Jamestown, KY on August 13, 1933, a son of the late Nina (McFarland) and Walter Sharp.
He was a member of Jamestown Christian Church, served in the U.S. Army, was a retired social worker and an avid U.K. fan.
James is survived by: three sons Bill Sharp (Debbie), of Russell Springs, David Sharp (Eddy), of Columbia, and Philip Sharp (Cindy), of Athens, AL.
He is also survived by eight grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren, one great-great-grandchild, and another one on the way.
James is preceded in death by his parents, wife Wanda Faye (Branscum) Sharp and brothers William Dudley, and Philip Hugh Sharp.
Funeral Service will be held 11:00 AM CT on Friday, July 11th at Jamestown Christian Church in Jamestown, KY with Bro. Jason Walters officiating.
Public Visitation will be held 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM CT on Thursday, July 10th, after 8:00 AM CT until time of service on Friday July 11th at Jamestown Christian Church in Jamestown, KY.
Burial in the Jamestown Cemetery, Jamestown, KY.
