Frederick Fetty, 79, Jamestown

Frederick Fetty, 79, of Jamestown, passed away Saturday July 26th, at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital of respiratory failure.

Fred was previously a member of Fairview Separate Baptist Church, and a member of the Sycamore Flats Flywheelers. He enjoyed his 1953 Ford F-100 and talking and joking with friends and everyone he would meet wherever he went and while attending various classic car and antique tractor shows.

He was born in San Diego, CA on June 25, 1946, the son of the late William B. Fetty and the late Dorris Fetty. He moved to Jamestown from California in 2005 after retiring as a Roofing Contractor. He had been in roofing since he was 17 years old.

Fred is survived by his wife of 48 years, Helen Fetty; of Jamestown, four sons, Millard of Oregon, Frederick Jr of San Diego CA, James of Simpsonville KY, Donald of Maui HI;  one daughter Susan Rue of Washington.

He is also survived by: seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Martha Knorr of San Diego, CA, and Carol Todd of TN.; two brothers, Robert Fetty of Lakeside CA., and William D. Fetty of El Cajon, CA., and several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.

Preceded in death by his parents, his brother Gene, and sister Diane Eggers.

Care and cremation were chosen with no services scheduled.
