Golda Mae Hinkle, 84, Russell Springs

Golda Mae Hinkle, of Russell Springs, passed away at her home Tuesday, August 26, 2025. She was 84 years of age.

Born July 21, 1941, in Russell Springs, she was a daughter of the late Earl and Ada West Tucker.  Golda was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church.  Golda loved her family and friends dearly and will be missed by all who knew her.

Survivors include her son, Mark (and Becky) Hinkle, of Russell Springs; her daughter, Jeanene (and Todd) Jasper, of Russell Springs; three grandchildren, Anthony (and Julia) Jasper, Mason Hinkle, and Olivia Hinkle; a great grandchild, Kynlie Jasper; brother, Glen (and Judy) Tucker; three sisters, Mary (and Danny) Richardson, of Lexington, Joyce Wilson, of Russell Springs, and Exetta Wilson, of Jamestown; and three special ladies that took wonderful care of Golda during her illness, Connie Harmon, Adalene Cochran, and Faye Cook.

In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved husband, Jess Hinkle; six brothers Lester Tucker, Arvester “Mose” Tucker, Sylvester “Tilburn” Tucker, Elvis Tucker, Chester Tucker, and Leslie Tucker; and two sisters, Remona Popplewell and Clora Luttrell.

Funeral services are 1:30 PM Thursday, August 28, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Troy Grider officiating.  Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Separate Baptist Church Cemetery.

Visitation will begin after 11:00 AM on Thursday and continue until the time of services.

Ronnie Whittle, Matthew Tucker, Neil Luttrell, Anthony Jasper, Mason Hinkle, and Harold Stanelle will serve as pallbearers.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations in Golda’s memory to Hospice of Lake Cumberland, 100 Parkway Drive, Somerset, KY 42501.  These can also be left at the funeral home.
