Lakers clip Falcons’ wings, runner-up in tournament

Coming off a district win last week; the Russell County Lady Laker Volleyball Team earned a top position in a weekend tournament.
This past Saturday, the Lady Lakers played their way to a runner-up trophy in the Rockcastle Invitational.

In tournament play, Russell County won the first five matches of the day and ended their quest in a tough match against Madison Southern.
Russell County’s Linden-Kate Wilson made a power play last week against visiting Lady Falcons.
The Lady Lakers earned a district win against the Monroe County Falcons Thursday at home with exciting matches involving the freshman, JV, and varsity teams.
At press time, Russell County was set to host Clinton County in district action at home.
