Larry E. Withers, 67, Russell Springs
Larry E. Withers, of Russell Springs, passed away at his home on Wednesday October 29, 2025. He was 67 years of age.
Born March 16, 1958, in Russell County, he was a son of the late Arno and Marie Sneed Withers. Larry was a former employee of Superior Battery with over 20 years of service but currently employed by RTEC as a driver at the time of his passing. He was thought of as a great storyteller and someone that never met a stranger. Larry was a selfless man that would give anyone the shirt off his back when they were in need. He loved his family and always put them first; his grandchildren were his world. Larry considered himself a rich man, with a life full of love, and the blessing of a precious family that meant the world to him. He will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Survivors include his beloved wife of 47 years, Linda Shepard Withers; two daughters, Jennifer (and Richard) Bennett, of Jamestown, and Dessa (and Robbie) Morgan, of Russell Springs; a brother, Dave (and Rose) Withers, of Florida; three sisters, Shirley Withers, Judy Withers, and Clara Withers, all of Russell Springs; six grandchildren, Jalen (and Brittany) Bennett, Justin (and Maddie) Withers, Connor Withers, Chase Morgan, Jax Morgan, and Maci Morgan; four great grandchildren, Briar Tate Withers, Hudson Bennett, Alex Bennett, and Aubree Bennett; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Roger Dale Withers.
Funeral services are 2:00 PM Sunday, November 2, 2025, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Bro. Hugh Withers and Bro. Wayne Keith officiating. Burial will follow in Salem Cemetery.
Visitation for the friends and the public will begin after 10:00 AM on Sunday and continue until time for services.
Jalen Bennett, Justin Withers, Connor Withers, Chase Morgan, Jax Morgan, Brent Vaught, and Ben Vaught will serve as pallbearers.
Funeral arrangements for Larry E. Withers are entrusted to Bernard Funeral Home. An online guestbook is available at www.bernardfuneralhome.com.

I didn’t personally know Larry, but I met him through work at RTEC. He was always friendly and engaging. My thoughts are with his family and friends during this time of loss.
God bless
