Dorothy Marie Holt, 81, Jamestown

Dorothy Marie Holt, of Jamestown, passed away on Sunday, June 14, 2026, at the University of Kentucky Medical Center, in Lexington. She was 81 years of age.

Born on November 27, 1944, in Russell County, she was a daughter of the late Frank and Arvilla Higginbotham Garner. Dorothy retired from the Dietary Department at Russell County Hospital. She deeply loved her family, especially her grandkids. Dorothy also enjoyed working with her flowers.

Dorothy is survived by her daughter, Teresa Bolin, of Russell Springs; her grandchildren, Rachel Bolin and Bradley Bolin; her brother, Carlos Garner, of Indiana; her sister, Jo Ann Zimmerman, of Panama City Beach, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Dorothy was preceded in death by her husband, Clyde Holt, who passed away on January 27, 1999; her brothers, Ollion Garner and Bobby Lee Garner; and her sisters, Opal McLarty, Carlene McKinney, and Ruby Garner.

Funeral services are 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, June 20, 2026, at Bernard Funeral Home, with Brother Scott Allen officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Cemetery.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 P.M. until the time of services on Saturday, at the funeral home.

Pallbearers will be Bradley Bolin, Shawn Garner, Jeff Garner, Michael Garner, Keith Pierce, Randy Tiller, Rachel Bolin, and Jennifer Kempf.
